Severn Bridge Sportive

The Severn Bridge Sportive, run by Andy Cook Cycling Ltd, is back for 2016 and will take place on Sunday 28th August alongside the Family Cycling Day.

The Sportive will offer riders the choice of a 100km 60 mile or 102 mile route through some of the best countryside the area has to offer.

Each route will be comprehensively signed, with well stocked feed stations out on the route,  and First Aid Cover from MediBikes.

There will be mechanical support provided on the day both at the start and at the feed station and there will also be a support car out on the road.

Just got home having finished the 60 mile SBS and before I get railroaded into bike cleaning, kit washing and general messing about I’d like to say what an excellent event. Super easy online registration, ultra polite registration staff, brilliant sign posting, an excellent food stop and then at the finish a home cooked pasta meal with nice cheese. I would just like to thank you for a great day out yesterday.
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was the first cycle event we have attended with me doing the 60 mile and him doing the 100. From the moment we arrived we could see how professional and well organised it was. The help throughout the route was outstanding and the food stop superb. It was nice to see so many people at the finish cheering us on as we finished, and again an excellent meal to help us recover.

A message to all concerned with the organisation and running of this event last Sunday………a massive thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was very well run, good feed station, excellent signage and very enthusiastic helpers on the day.
